This is a hybrid position and will require onsite work at our hospital & clinics. In-office work is dependent upon department needs. Department Overview Health Information Management is responsible for the: * Oversight of the quality, timeliness, and accuracy of the medical record and patient indexes for patient care, legal, revenue, research, and regulatory needs; * Classification of diagnosis and procedures according to approved classification and nomenclatures such as ICD-9, CPT, Snomed, etc. * Maintaining the security and integrity of health information; * Providing documentation tools/services such as dictation, transcription, electronic templates, scribes, and paper forms; * Collection, quality control, and dissemination of data for comparative data bases and statistical reports including specific disease and procedure registries; * Providing access to medical record information through release of information processes. Position Summary HIM systems analysts implement, test, maintain, and support HIM and information systems to meet the business needs of the HIM department and the organization. Education: *Bachelor's degree in health related field with RHIA (Registered Health Information Administration) or RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician) credential preferred Experience: *2 or more years of Health Information Management experience preferred *Strong computer, hardware, software, and analytical skills *Proven ability to assess business needs and translate them into relevant solutions *Experience installing, configuring, documenting, testing, training, and implementing new applications and systems *Excellent analytical skills *Critical thinking ability *Strong problem-solving capacity *High-level written and verbal communication skills *Project management skills *Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines *Ability to work well in a team *Ability to work outside standard hours to meet deadlines and to oversee upgrades or fixes, ensuring there is minimal interruption to business as usual Physical Demands Please click here to view the Physical Demands The posted pay range represents rates for a grouping of multiple jobs within a salary grade. We carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Children's Minnesota. All job offers are contingent upon successful completion of an occupational health assessment, drug screen, background investigation, and compliance with the U.S. Government Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification.
