Our Corporate Communications team is looking for a Sr. Principal Communications Specialist, Quality Communications, reporting directly to the Sr. Director, Internal Communications.  

You will support communications for strategic and global quality projects and initiatives that are significant to the company, inclusive of transformation and change management programs. You will counsel stakeholders on best practices to better engage employees and drive business outcomes. This role will also partner with colleagues across Quality to drive communications innovation and operational excellence, helping develop and deploy best practices, tools, and resources to simplify work, enhance processes, up-skill team capabilities, and elevate the Quality and Communications functions.

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Supports the creation and implementation of multiple forms of strategic communication activities, programs, and content in support of globalQualityprojects guided byQualitypriorities and overall business strategy.

  • Supports global transformation and change management projects.

  • Applies internal communicationsexpertiseand consulting skills to guide those who wish to engage global audiences;providescoaching toQualitybusiness partners on effective internal communication planning and execution.

  • Manages internal website and Eloqua email sends, data collection to benchmark progress against communication goals, and internal social media.

  • Responsible for planning, storytelling, writing, and editing to persuade, educate and inspire internal audiences to change behavior or understand the work environment.

  • Maintains strong relationships with leaders and business partners and delivers communication consultation and support around high-priorityQualityprojects with broad impact to global audiences.

  • Partners withQualitycolleagues and Communications colleagues on benchmarking, driving innovation, and communications operational excellence across the organization.

  • Contributes to and supports the maintenance of aQualitycalendar and SharePoint site

  • Manages content distribution across multiple channels (e.g., Eloqua/email, Yammer, SharePoint).

  • Applies journalistic skills to lead discovery and sourcing meetings with leaders, cross-functional partners, and communications team members to inform communication strategies.

  • Creates dashboards, scorecards, and reports (maintains KPIs) for globalQualitycommunications projects, assessing performance againstobjectives, andleveraginginsights to drive continuous improvement and inform future strategies.

  • Oversees agency and contractors forQualityprojects, as needed.

  • Basic design / creative skills (e.g., PPT, asset development). 

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required

  • Requires a University Degree and minimum of 10 years of relevant corporate communications experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant corporate communications experience.

Nice to Have

  • Proven ability to manage large, moderatelycomplexor undefined projects independently through effective information gathering (or research), analysis, planning and implementation. 

  • Deepexperience writing and producing internal content, including leader messages, news articles, scripts, talking points, FAQs, video, and social media/Yammer posts, among others.

  • Ability to cultivate andmaintaineffective relationships across a variety of functions and with all levels of management and employees.

  • Trusted tooperatewith the highest levels of ethics and integrity, protecting confidential and sensitive information.

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects with competing deadlines (project mgmt.).

  • Experience with multi-channel communications deployment.

  • Eloqua and SharePoint experience a plus.

  • Proficiencywith Zoom and Microsoft Office 365 suite, including Teams and Yammer.

  • Surgical/medical technology/medical device/healthcare industry experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
