RBC US CIO Office Senior Program Manager in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Job Summary Job Description What is the opportunity? RBC's Office of the US CIO is responsible for the oversight of all technology supporting the firm's Combined US Operations (CUSO). The CUSO includes Capital Markets, Wealth Management, City National Bank, RBC Bank (US), Global Asset Management, and Functions within the US. This unique Program Manager role is accountable to the US CIO for the oversight of the US CIO Technology Programs. This hands-on role is responsible for directly overseeing the management, spend, and delivery of technology programs supporting cross-LOB regulatory and business-driven initiatives. Additionally, this role is accountable for ensuring consistency of execution assurance across technology programs supporting the CUSO, in terms of governance, risk management, and value realization What will you do? Serve as a single point of accountability for oversight and direct signoff on significant programs across RBC entities in the US Establish, develop, and maintain strong relationships with Sponsors, Stakeholders, RBC business, risk, and entity partners Work to build and establish program management practice, standards and governance leveraging enterprise standards Support oversight, review and reporting of program portfolios under CUSO Ensure risk assessments are completed and that contingency plans are identified and executed Prepare program roadmap, project, and/or implementation plans to align with executive approval Manage overall program financials and tracks value for effective decision making Work closely with Executive leadership, project managers and 3rd party providers to enhance efficiency and successfully deliver multiyear programs on time If running Agile, facilitate Agile initiatives from initiation through release, providing oversight to ensure alignment with RBC Agile/Scrum practices, including but not limited to, project kick-off, sprint, release and deployment planning Remove impediments to delivery success through the proactive management of external dependencies and simple team problem-solving, considering options and selecting solutions; escalate issues through business and/or IT channels where necessary What do you need to succeed? Must-have 8+ years experience in project delivery with agile teams including agile practices including scrum/Kanban, agile ceremonies (standups, backlog refinement, team demos) Experience managing large, complex, multimillion dollar initiatives across disparate stakeholders Experience presenting to and gaining consensus from executive management Experience scheduling activities across all delivery teams to deliver a common capability Experience with Planview and/or RBC MIS (Management Information System) Familiarity of building, using, publishing all project artefacts Expert in Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project Nice-to-have Knowledge of Scaled Agile practices Prior experience utilizing JIRA and/or Confluence Experience with Planview and/or RBC MIS (Management Information System) Financial experience in both Wealth Management and Banking What's in it for you?
