Robert Half Sr. Financial Analyst in Minneapolis, Minnesota
Description
We are offering a 100% remote contract to hire opportunity for a Financial Analyst in Minnesota. This role is within the finance industry and entails the execution of various financial analysis tasks including service fee billing, cash reconciliation, and compliance audits. The successful candidate will be expected to validate data, maintain complex spreadsheets, and collaborate with different teams to ensure the accuracy of financial information.
Responsibilities:
• Daily reconciliation of cash disbursements, involving investigation and follow-ups on discrepancies
• Conduct the period accounting close process, including the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations
• Analyze revenue, operating expenses, and selling, general and administrative expenses (SGA) to provide accurate accounting of financial performance
• Collaborate with business partners on financial analysis and departmental budgets/forecasts
• Execute the monthly billing process ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Validate data and maintain the billing spreadsheet, identifying areas of improvement to increase efficiency and effectiveness
• Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting as required
• Utilize skills in CapEx, Data Mining Techniques, Budget Processes, Expense Reporting, Finance, and Data Analysis to perform duties effectively and efficiently
Requirements
• Candidate must have at least five years of experience in an accounting or finance role
• The candidate should have a solid background in Finance
• Excellent Data Analysis skills are required including advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team is needed
• Strong communication and presentation skills are essential
• Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite is necessary
• A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required
• The applicant should have the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are necessary for this role.
