The position will include an active clinical practice at the University of Minnesota and possibly one or two satellite facilities. The position will require supervising, mentoring and teaching medical students, residents and fellows along with other curriculum development responsibilities. The successful candidate will participate in research projects and other academic/scholarly activities either as a collaborator or independent researcher, and participate in faculty development activities tailored to the candidate's career interests and goals. Qualifications MD degree, completion of an Ophthalmology residency and a fellowship in glaucoma ophthalmology, board certification in Ophthalmology, licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Minnesota, experience or interest in clinical research and other scholarly activities. Hire will be at Assistant Professor rank on Clinical Scholar, non tenure track. About the Department The missions of the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Neurosciences are teaching, research, service and provision of excellent clinical service. Primary academic missions of the department are to teach medical students, post-M.D. trainees (residents and fellows) and students in allied health programs and to advance knowledge in ophthalmology through basic scientific and clinical research endeavors.
