Grant Writer Job Summary We are looking for a focused, knowledgeable, capable individual to join our fundraising team as a Grant Writer. In addition to researching and writing grant proposals on behalf of our non-profit social enterprise, the Grant Writer is responsible for maintaining the grants calendar, completing the application process, and ensuring grant submissions are met on a timely basis. The Grant Writer will be expected to support outreach to institutional and potential donors, maintaining Better Futures Minnesota s CRM database, as well as communicate with leadership regarding their financial needs. The successful candidate will be someone who is able to enthusiastically help our organization attain the donations it needs to serve the community. The Grant Writing Specialist is a key member of Better Futures Minnesota (BFM) and reports to the Development Manager, working closely with Leadership and the Management Team. Grant Writer Duties and Responsibilities Research, prepare, and submit proposals for funding Follow all requirements and deadlines for grant applications Maintain a grants calendar to monitor progress Communicate with potential donors and institutional donors Write sponsorship packages Identify new funding opportunities Review budget proposals with the Development Manager Additional Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must be able to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity equipment. Must be able to converse with others to exchange accurate information. Must possess cultural competencies for a diverse workplace. This position requires repetitive hand and wrist motion.
