We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk for our ADO Practice Solutions Division . ADO provides cost-saving programs and strategies to increase profitability and efficiencies for independent eye care practices. This is an excellent opportunity to join our team!

Job Summary

The Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk will perform various tasks to ensure an accurate accounting system which leads to an accurate monthly statement for our customers.. The position will provide a high level of customer service to customers (internal and external), suppliers, and vendors.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a high level of customer service to ADO accounts and potential customers. Investigate and resolve customer inquiries concerning merchandise, service, billing or credit issues. Provide problem solving regarding customer inquiries and issue adjustments as deemed necessary.

  • Accurate manual data entry into JDE (E1) system and reconcile data entered for billing to customers and payments to vendors.

  • Perform cash applications process, including deposits, credit cards, and balancing payments.

  • Complete month end responsibilities. Performs other miscellaneous data entry during the month to support this process. Assists in sending out ADO monthly statements. Follows set procedure for entire month-end process. Reconciles ADO vendor statements ensuring that what we are paying vendors is accurate.

  • Answer customer and vendors calls, retrieve invoices and other documentation for customers.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Position requires a two year associates degree and three years of related accounting work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Must have excellent keyboarding skills, excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook..

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, co-workers and management..

  • Must be able to manage a variety of duties

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Demonstrates strong analytical and investigative skills.
