Per Diem Counselor
The Per Diem Counselor is a paraprofessional that will provide direct services to individuals seeking services for substance use, co-occurring disorders, and/or gambling in accordance with agency and regulatory requirements. The Per Diem Counselor will work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team.
Responsibilities
Conduct individual, family and group sessions and any other prescribed treatment service in accordance with agency and regulatory standards established for this position
Conduct initial screenings and assessment, including comprehensive assessments under intensive supervision, and collaborate with clinical team on treatment recommendations
Develop, implement and monitor client treatment plans.
Collaborate with external service providers to ensure coordination of care.
Communicate with courts, probation, parole and other external agencies relevant to the client.
Complete and maintain client case records in a timely manner and in compliance with agency and other regulatory standards
Assume other tasks, projects and responsibilities assigned to support the operations of the program.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 1-3 years experience providing individual and group counseling to substance use or mental health population either working in an OASAS/OMH setting. Internship experience will be considered.
Intermediate computer skills required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

Salary: $25.00/hr
