JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Overview The Research Associate will assist with research projects in the Neuromotor Control Laboratory under the direction of Dr. Robert Scheidt. The research conducted within the Neuromotor Control Laboratory seeks to understand how sensorimotor learning and control are impacted by neural injury (e.g. Alzheimer\'s, concussion, stroke), and the time course of recovery Duties and Responsibilities Experience completing kinetic and kinematic data analysis with software programs such as; Matlab, SPSS, and JASP. Communication skills for dissemination of findings. - Human Subjects Research involving kinetic and kinematic testing - Data curation and maintenance, ensuring data integrity and safety - Dissemination of findings through presentation and manuscript preparation. - Organize and participate in project and NMCL meetings - Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested. - Graduate training in Biomedical Engineering or Exercise Science - Knowledge of the nervous system and musculoskeletal anatomy/physiology - Strong organizational skills for research projects - Successful completion of Human Subjects training - Experience conducting human subjects research - Excellent written and oral communication skills in English - Professional interaction with collaborators and participants; maintaining the integrity of Human Subject Data Collection Protocols ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities -Requires Master\'s degree in a related field or equivalent research experience (preferably in an academic setting); -Must possess strong communication and analytical skills; thorough knowledge of laboratory practices and procedures; -Ability to implement research projects; -Must be willing to work flexible hours as necessary.
