Building Maintenance Tech
Job Description
You will be responsible for driving 500-2000 miles a week to various commercial outlet stores within the region to perform and complete maintenance work orders. The tasks include painting, plumbing, electrical work, masonry, cleaning, welding, drywall, and working with locks. You will primarily work alone but can call for assistance on specific projects. Effective communication with customers and technical proficiency to complete work orders are essential.
Responsibilities
Perform commercial electrical maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting light poles, changing breakers, installing new circuits, and replacing outlets, light switches, and water heaters.
Conduct residential and commercial plumbing repairs, including drain cleaning and replacing toilets, sinks, and faucets.
Handle painting tasks, including touch-ups, using hand brushes, and operating spray guns.
Execute drywall installation and finishing, with capabilities in Level 5 finishing, stucco, and Efix.
Carry out masonry work involving brick and stone stacking and pasting.
Perform welding tasks using MIG, stick, and spot welds for gate hinges and fencing.
Manage locks, including residential and commercial padlocks and electrical locks.
Drive 500-2000 miles a week and be comfortable with traveling positions.
Download and use the ADP app to log hours, document work, and communicate via the internal system.
Comfortable driving long distances and using personal vehicles for work.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Hand tools: Angle grinder, tape measure, multimeter, channel locks, spare batteries/charger, circular saw, drywall tools, hammer, crescent wrenches, sander, impact driver, speed square, receptacle tester, needle nose pliers, socket/ratchet set, saws, reciprocating saw, drill/driver, levels, non-contact voltage tester, lineman pliers, oscillating saw, battery power tools.
PPE: Steel-toe boots are recommended, and PPE such as masks, respirators, harnesses, goggles, and gloves will be provided depending on the project.

Work Environment
You will work from 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break. Saturday work is voluntary if needed. Expect to work 10-20 hours of overtime per week. Initial training lasts for the first week (5 days). You will reach 3-8 clients a day, working both inside and outside. The work is 90%-95% individual, and you will communicate with store managers and supervisors to complete work orders and log hours using an internal database. You will travel 500-2000 miles a week, driving your own vehicle.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
