The purpose of the job is to support the operations department in various mechanical, electrical, electronics, and/or automated equipment. This role will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, trouble shoot equipment and exchange faulty parts when needed.
Primary Tasks:
- Review machine drawings, user manual and installation manual.
- To maintain automation equipment in excellent condition ensuring consistent quality, output and yield.
- Follow systematic root cause problem solving and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
- Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance, completing all associated paperwork and records.
- Keep equipment under calibration and coordinate equipment shipment to external OEMs if require.
- Assist with the commissioning of new equipment / projects.
- Order and maintain appropriate stock of spare parts.
- Cross Train technicians as required.
Secondary Tasks:
- Works closely with internal or external operators on training of the designed equipment.
- With the support from the technical writers, generate Operational procedures and work instructions.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
\ \ Qualifications:
Education:
- 3+ years experience in automated equipment management.
- Experience in high volume automation / robotics packaging.
- Experience in Pneumatics, Electronics, Hydraulics, Programmable Controllers, Servo Motor drives, Vision systems, workshop machining desirable.
Training:
- Systematic & structured troubleshooting / problem solving skills.
- Ability to provide innovative solutions to complex technical problems.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
Skills / desire traits:
- MS Office Suite Proficiency
- Statistical Process Control.
- Reporting / Analytical Abilities
- Communication (Written, Verbal). Communication to/from equipment manufacture OEM is key to this role.
