Deere & Company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Milan, IL with the following requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field plus 5 years related experience. Required skills: Analyze the requirements and perform technical feasibility assessments by participating in multiple phases of software development life cycle including requirement gathering, software design, development, testing, delivery, maintenance and support of computer applications based on scrum based agile methodology projects for clients (5 yrs); Translate functional requirements into technical specifications, refine it to features and break down to user stories for planning and development to provide estimations for deliverables (2 yrs); Build low latency, distributed, scalable and reliable backend systems which includes designing and developing medium to complex Java applications (5 yrs); Ensure that performance parameters expected from the module being developed are in acceptable limits by monitoring the application under production for potential performance loss and required changes over a period of time and performance tuning for web application (3 yrs); Define technical architecture and solutions of new and current software applications leveraging industry standard front-end and back-end technologies to be deployed in-house and/or on AWS cloud (3 yrs); Experience using software development tools and frameworks which includes Java, J2EE, design patterns, JMS, Spring framework, Hibernate, Spring boot, Spring security, DB2 Apache Maven, OKTA, AWS cloud, logback, JUnit, Apache Tomcat, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, jQuery, react, Open API specification, GitHub, Docker, Postman, Rally Intellij and Continuous Integration/Delivery using tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps (5 yrs). Up to 40% remote work allowed. Must live within normal commuting distance of the worksite.
