Dedicated resource to drive growth for BCBSM. Ensuring the BCBSM sales team has the support and resources to perform effectively and efficiently, to improve EAP sales results and increase revenue. Providing and managing sales tools and processes to allow sales representatives to interact most effectively with clients.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Proactive pipeline development: assist in development of sales opportunities. Analyzing current pipeline and support the development of an EAP sales forecast. Monitor what activities work well and what don’t, with the goal of continuously optimizing existing approaches

  • Sales tools :creating and managing effective sales tools including customer-focused, engaging content that facilitates sales and highlights the value story of EAP. Examples include:

  • Battlecards / Win cards - key sales messages, essential info about the product, value proposition, understanding of competitor products

  • Sales script - Talking points and guidelines to help navigate client conversations

  • One-pagers/cheat sheets - One page document providing an overview of the product

  • Product Sheets - A reference point for BCBSM sales teams if they’re asked to explain more technical features of the product

  • Story telling presentations - outlines the problems the customer is facing, the solution the USPs and the value of what we offer

  • Support in determining appropriate content for each step of the sales cycle to maximize sales results

  • Marketing support: Support BCBSM marketing efforts by providing content for lead generation and awareness campaigns

  • Creation of metrics and impact: tracking sales enablement metrics. Being able to demonstrate the business impact of sales enablement efforts

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years sales and account management experience

  • 5+ years of proven experience and expertise in the health insurance, health care, or related industry

  • Experience building and managing strategic client relationships and sales in the healthcare market

  • Understanding of sales process and ability navigate and manage complex sales, solutioning and RFP process to facilitate and remove roadblocks (for sales/client executives) to close sales

  • Demonstrated success in accessing and influencing senior level and/or C-Suite clients, sophisticated customers, channels, consultants, and/or business partners in a highly matrixed organization

  • Proven track record for achieving target revenue, incremental growth and sales goals

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

  • Proven ability to operate and effectively navigate in a highly complex, matrix environment with a high level of collaboration

  • Ability to travel 25-50%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in managing multiple opportunities at any given time, of substantial size and amount

  • Experience leading teams on a national level

  • Work experience managing client team and clients in national accounts market, public and labor client segment

  • Proficiency in CRM tools (ex. Salesforce) and sales methodology

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $88,000 to $173,200 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
