Your Role at Raising Cane’s:
The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing all restaurant construction related activities and projects and will ensure that all restaurants are constructed in accordance with the approved construction drawings. This role is responsible for applying effective management techniques to the planning, design, and construction phases of a new restaurant project from inception to completion for the purpose of controlling cost, time & quality.
Your Impact and Responsibilities:
Collaborates with key internal and external stakeholders during due diligence stage of project
Develops and monitors cost estimates for projects
Monitors and manages general contractor’s (GC) construction schedule
Develops comprehensive GC bid package
Review, qualify, and provide recommendation of awarding GC contracts
Reviews project documents and contracts to fully comprehend project specific scope of work
Reviews proposed master schedule (including milestone events)
Initiates communication procedures
Attends public hearings or meetings as requested
Reviews built and field conditions to advise consultants accordingly
Conducts constructability reviews
Visits restaurants under construction at specific milestone events to ensure compliance with schedule & quality
Reviews all site, building and equipment shop drawings and submittals
Prepares and monitors punch list work and score GC performance via punch list
Implements quality control (QC) requirements and monitors third party testing requirements
Maintains equipment vendor & installation schedules
Tracks, reviews, and responds to general contractors and equipment vendors
Successfully completes restaurant “turnover” to new restaurant opening team
Evaluates general contractor resources to deliver desired results
Prepares and maintains routine project status report
Collaborates and coordinates with design team to initiate necessary document modifications
Works with Architect of Record on site to identified issues through resolution, using standard CD tools such as ASI or Field Bulletins
Requirements for Success:
5+ years Restaurant Construction related experience.
Bachelor’s degree in related field required (Construction, Architecture or Engineering)
Advance knowledge of Microsoft: Word, Excel, Outlook, Calendar, Scheduling, and PowerPoint
50% Travel (will be a field based, work from home, employee)
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities that may be constantly changing
Self-driven, flexible, and highly energetic with strong written and verbal communication skills
Able to work effectively and efficiently both independently and collaboratively
