The Wash Clinic, Arizona\'s premium laundry service provider, is seeking a skilled and reliable Laundry Machine Mechanic to join our team. We are a busy and growing company and require someone who can ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our laundry equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair malfunctions in various types of laundry machines, including washers, dryers, extractors, and folders.
- Perform preventative maintenance on laundry equipment to maximize
lifespan and minimize downtime. This includes:
- Cleaning lint traps and other filters.
- Inspecting belts, hoses, and other moving parts for wear and tear.
- Lubricating moving parts as needed.
- Checking and adjusting water levels and temperatures.
- Testing and calibrating timers and controls.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues, including faulty wiring, switches, and motors.
- Repair or replace defective parts, such as pumps, valves, motors, bearings, and seals.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company procedures.
- Keep the laundry area clean and organized.
- Order and manage repair parts inventory.
- Assist with the installation of new laundry equipment.
In addition to laundry machine maintenance, the role may also include general maintenance tasks such as:
- Basic plumbing repairs (e.g., fixing leaks, unclogging drains).
- Minor electrical repairs (e.g., replacing light bulbs, switches).
- Painting and touch-ups.
- General upkeep of the facility (e.g., cleaning, landscaping).
- Minor carpentry work.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Machine Mechanic.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to laundry equipment.
