The selected candidate is responsible for providing support in environmental, health, and safety programs, by complying with regulatory and operating standards. Responsible for coordinating activities and aligning practices with other US facilities (Wallingford, CT; Grand Rapids, MI; Nashua, NH; Sidney, NY; and West Palm Beach, FL)
The Role -
Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking aEnvironmental Health System Technicianto work out of its state-of-the-art facility inMesa, AZ.
The key responsibilities of thisPositioninclude, but are not limited to:
Uphold and improve safety policies and procedures to meet regulatory requirements and ensure a safe work environment for all team members
Knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations
Maintain the Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) program
Manage and maintain the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) system
Participate in accident investigation and root cause identification for work-related injuries and illnesses, on-the-job accidents, or near misses as required
Manage Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety equipment ordering, alternate/new PPE evaluations, PPE trials
Evaluate and improve site EHS programs and policies
Understand hazardous waste regulations specific to ADEQ and EPA
Assist in trainings such as: new hire safety orientation, hazard communication, machine guarding, hand and powered tool safety, ladder safety, lock out tag out (LOTO), forklift, etc.
Track and perform audits, monitor open action items, and aid in resolution
Interface with regulatory and public sector EHS agencies and authorities as appropriate
Perform PPE Assessments/Facility Assessment
Work in interdepartmental teams on projects as an EHS resource

The Person -
The key skills and qualities of an Environmental Health System Technicianat Amphenol Aerospace Operations:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Health & Safety, Environmental Science or equivalent education/ work experience
Strong communication verbally and written
MS Office Skills – Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Experience with MicroVu Inspec Software, Keyence IM Series, Zeiss Calypso and/or Cognex In-Sight preferred
HAZWOPER 40 Preferred
OSHA 10 Hour Preferred
Knowledge of safety policies, rules and regulations for OSHA, EPA, and other applicable industry standards
Knowledge of local environmental regulations
Associate Safety Professional (ASP) designation preferred
1-3 years: Experience in EHS related activities
Physical demands of the role include sitting, bending, interaction with operations (walking, lifting, bending, climbing stairs) and occasional travel
