Description: A Construction Project Manager job is currently available in Merrit Island, FL. This individual will be the central figure and authority for management of the project within the approved scope and budget. The individual will ensure adequate monitoring and controls are in place to meet or exceed requirements. The role will be responsible for coordinating and executing all phases of the project from planning to closeout and turnover.
Job Duties:
Ensuring contractors are complying with policies
Developing and maintaining the project management plan
Working with stakeholders to develop requirements documentation
Establishing a communications plan; including establishing regular meetings to facilitate information flow
Developing and maintaining a roles and responsibilities matrix
Developing and maintaining the project schedule
Coordinating and/or developing Statements of Work and Requests for Proposals with the assistance of the Design Manager
Change management, reviewing changes for need and cost
Managing project budget and ensuring spend plans are met
Maintaining monthly cashflow projections
Coordinating with external stakeholders; NASA, Space Florida, permitting agencies, and third-party reviewers/inspectors
Ensuring timely responses to Requests for Information
Reviewing submittals and ensuring the appropriate stakeholders have approved as required
Seek opportunities for value engineering
Ensure project design and implementation adheres to the Facility Design Criteria
Develop and maintain project documentation
Ensure contractors are complying with contractual requirements
Ensure project documents are turned over to Blue Origin at the conclusion of the project
Keep Blue Origin informed of project status
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor"s degree in Construction Mgmt, Civil Engineering, Business Mgmt or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction project management.
Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficiency with project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Procore, AutoCAD).
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- PMP or similar certification is a plus.
Compensation:
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $80,000 to $130,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
