Local 478 Training Ctr Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO) in Meriden, Connecticut
As a Local 478 heavy equipment operating engineer, you will travel throughout Connecticut. You will work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
As an operator, you may have irregular hours, because work on some construction projects continue around the clock, or must be performed late at night or early in the morning. The work is seasonal, so you can expect to be laid off during several of the winter months. Local 478 encourages its heavy equipment operators to maximize their earnings during the busiest times, budget properly and, if necessary, take advantage of the assistance and benefits we offer our members and their families.
