Job Description Reporting to the Regional Director of Medical Staff Services, the Executive Administrative Associate performs multi-dimensional administrative tasks that require creativity and independent, discretionary judgment to meet the needs of the team. Manages a variety of medical staff meetings and projects, including the independent performance of a wide range of complex administrative assistant duties and a multitude of office procedures in support of the Medical Staff Officers and the Medical Staff Offices in the Central Region. Serves as a liaison between medical staff members, medical staff services, other hospital departments, and administration to provide outstanding customer service and accepting responsibility to build and maintain relationships that are equally respectful to all. Examples of daily duties include, but are not limited to, coordinating the Central Region Credentials Committee and Medical Executive Committee meetings, including minute taking and distribution; maintains and protects the confidential records of proceedings. Forwards recommendations and follow-up, submission of all minutes to the Medical Staff Office. Coordinating the Central Region Board of Directors Credentialing Committee Zoom meetings and minutes, ensuring accuracy of information submitted to the Board of Directors. Maintains up to date knowledge regarding the Medical Staff Bylaws, Credentialing Policy, Peer Review Policy and General Rules and Regulations. Serves as a knowledgeable resource. Educates medical staff leaders, hospital personnel and administrators as necessary and/or requested. Other duties may include sending out and processing the intake of applications, coordinating Medical Staff events, annual Medical Staff dues and assisting with day to day credentialing matters. This is a highly visible, fast-paced and fun position for the right person. Ability to travel between Hospital of Central Connecticut and Midstate Medical Center is required. Qualifications High School diploma required. Additional education preferred. Five years previous high-level administrative experience. Proficiency in the use of the personal computer. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. High degree of confidentiality.
