Job Summary Duties to include working with first responders in the Meriden community providing substance abuse and mental health interventions to identified individuals and families in the community setting. A comprehensive array of rehabilitation services are provided, much of which are in the community. Assessing client needs, planning and linkage to appropriate services, advocacy as well as providing outreach and engagement are essential job functions. Coordinate and provide services within an integrated and recovery oriented system of care. * Associates Degree required * Certification as a Recovery Coach or Peer Support Specialist will be considered in lieu of an Associates Degree * Minimum 2 years of experience working with a behavioral health population required * Valid Connecticut driver’s license required * Must qualify for Public Service License * Knowledge of principles and practices of a designated therapeutic discipline * Knowledge of physical, mental and psychosocial disorders * Experience in facilitating groups and/or application of therapeutic techniques * Bilingual preferred As a Hartford HealthCare entity, Rushford provides eligible employees with an extensive benefits package consisting of: * Medical and dental benefits * 401(k) plan with employer match * Generous paid time off with accrual starting on the date of hire, including six paid holidays * Additional voluntary benefits as well as employee discount programs * With locations around the state, Hartford HealthCare offers exciting opportunities for career development and growth.
