Job Overview: Lead Direct Support Professional
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) Team Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a team of Direct Support Professionals who provide care and support to individuals with disabilities. The DSP Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality and person-centered services, promoting the independence and well-being of those we serve.
Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise and lead a team of Direct Support Professionals.

- Staff Development:
- Conduct training sessions for new and existing staff.

``` - Evaluate performance and provide constructive feedback.

``` - Identify opportunities for professional development and growth.
- Client Care:
- Ensure that individuals with disabilities receive personalized and respectful care.

``` - Collaborate with other professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.

``` - Monitor and assess the effectiveness of support services.
- Scheduling
- Ensure weekly schedule for staff
- Available to cover shifts outside of regular shifts when needed
- Problem Resolution:
- Address and resolve conflicts or issues within the team.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma required, Preferred bachelor's degree in a related field (Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, etc.) or equivalent experience.
- Current DODD medication certification

``` - Previous experience in a supervisory role within the field of direct support or disability services.

``` - Strong understanding of person-centered care principles.

``` - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

``` - Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.

Experience: - Previous experience working with people with developmental disabilities, senior care, patient care, or direct support is preferred - Knowledge of dementia care and experience working with individuals with dementia is a plus - Ability to drive and provide transportation for clients as needed - Familiarity with first aid procedures is beneficial

This position has on-call responsiblities and must be available to cover open shifts. Pay rate: $16-$18 per hour
