Your Role on Our Team
As a Senior Accountant, you will oversee a team of two accountants and be the primary support for the project accounting team. Specifically, supporting intangible assets, fixed assets, lease accounting, and engineering projects.
What You’ll Do:
Assist with several month-end close procedures and tasks including:
Preparing and reviewing journal entries,
Preparing footnote disclosures,
Determining appropriate intercompany transactions, and
Performing and reviewing account reconciliations.
Support internal and external auditors through the preparation of schedules and discussion of accounting policies and business practices.
Resolve all intercompany transaction discrepancies.
Help the business adhere to IFRS guidance in a rapidly growing accounting department.
Demonstrate a commitment to the process of continuous improvement. Identify and eliminate non-value-added activities and streamline processes.
Work with consultants to help them better understand our business and its needs.
Ability to collect, analyze, and manage quantitative data and creating meaningful reports.
Demonstrate agility by adapting to changing needs of the finance and operational departments, able to create meaningful ad hoc “what if” financial analysis.
Provide guidance and testing support to the phased Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP implementation.
The Tools You’ll Need to Have:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
5+ years of corporate accounting experience required.
Proficiency with large scale ERP required.
Proficiency with Excel (advanced) and PowerPoint required.
The Other Tools We’d Like to See:
Public accounting experience or CPA is preferred.
General knowledge of IFRS is a plus.
