KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead retail staff and café operations

  • Possess in-depth knowledge of Verve products, principles, and policies

  • Ensure outstanding customer experience and superior product quality

  • Strive to exceed café’s financial goals

SPECIFIC DUTIES

  • Develop a motivated team committed to delivering premium products and excellent experiences

  • Promote teamwork and robust, positive communication among staff

  • Build deep and rich community relationships in the cafe's neighborhood

  • Liaise between the kitchen staff and cafe environment for consistent high-quality customer service. Report customer feedback to kitchen team.

  • Lead a customer-focused cafe experience by modeling and coaching outstanding hospitality at every opportunity

  • Actively monitor drink quality and help ensure drink standards are being met

  • Manager multiple revenue drivers within a single space

  • Facilitate and participate in interdepartmental and public events

  • Create weekly café schedule

  • Enthusiastically drive top line and support key marketing initiatives

  • Proactively manage bottom line and continuously develop and implement cafe and company efficiencies

  • Facilitate and execute employee review process

  • Ensure that all employees are trained and performing to VCR standards

  • Follow disciplinary protocol outlined in the VCR Employee Handbook

  • Maintain café equipment and schedule regular maintenance

  • Keep front and back of house immaculately organized and clean at all times

  • Recruit and interview candidates as needed to maintain stellar staff

  • Control costs without compromising standards and customer service

  • Develop and implement strategy to exceed café top and bottom line financial goals

Requirements

  • Must love coffee

  • Previous P&L and management experience required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Outstanding organizational, planning, and time management skills

  • Must have customer-focused attitude

  • Ability to model teamwork and lead a team

  • Must be approachable, mindful, and positive

  • Solid management and problem solving skills

  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback in any given situation
