First Horizon Bank Intern - Enterprise Architect in Memphis, Tennessee

Our 10-week internship offers a comprehensive and immersive experience for students interested in gaining practical knowledge and skills in the banking industry. Each week, you will be exposed to different leaders and aspects of the line of business. You will have the opportunity to complete tasks that will help you understand the day-to-day operations of a bank and develop a well-rounded skillset. Additionally, you will have the chance to receive guidance from experienced professionals in the field, participate in meetings, and network with other interns and associates. By the end of the 10 weeks, you will have gained valuable insights, built a solid foundation in banking practices, and potentially set the stage for future career opportunities at First Horizon.
While this is a full time summer internship, there can be some flexibility in the schedule and number of hours worked weekly, within normal business hours.
The Intern will learn and assist with the day-to-day duties of the members, including:

Assist in the process of collecting and documenting IT and Business knowledge, including architecture diagrams, architecture documents, and meeting notes
Enable Systems Documentation growth and maintenance
Enable Systems Rationalization: help identify common capabilities and attributes across the systems portfolio and render a target disposition (keep, replace, retire, migrate)
Enable Cloud Migration: help identify cloud-ready capabilities and attributes across the systems portfolio and render a target host environment (colo, cloud, or managed service)
Facilitate EA Core Team operations: keep meeting minutes for Stand-ups, Bi-Weekly Core Team Meetings, Bi-Weekly COP (center of practice) Meetings, Jira Board maintenance, and Confluence Space Maintenance
Gather information from multiple sources and critically evaluate it, reconcile conflicts, disseminate high-level information into details
Use business analysis, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, interviews, and other analysis to identify architecture assets
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Create informative, actionable and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant trends and opportunities for improvement
Qualifications
Full-time undergraduate student with anticipated graduation date between December 2024 and June 2025
GPA of 2.75 or above
Suitable candidates would include anyone with a declared major or minor in the areas of computer science, computer engineering, MIS/BIT, or similar discipline
