Trinity Health Registered Nurse - Employee Health - Gottlieb in Melrose Park, Illinois

Description:

Utilized current nursing practices to provide patient/employee care while focusing on the needs of the patient/employee and exemplifying the service excellence goals of care, concern, respect and cooperation. As a contributing member of a health team, functions in the role of patient advocate by being in the position of initial contact for patient-related issues.

Hours: (No weekend/Holiday/On-call) Half Day on Friday

Monday thru Thursday: 8.5-9 Hours (flexible-starting between 7am-8am)

Fridays: Employee Health will close at Noon.

Excel, Power Point, Microsoft word experience needed. This position is 80% Administrative

Experience with Worker's Compensation and OSHA is a requirement for this role.

Previous Employee Health experience preferred.

Drug Screening & Alcohol Testing

Completes required new employee/contractor and volunteer screening including screening for TB, Hepatitis B, MMR and varicella, as well as other applicable immunizations.

Administration of Vaccinations. Perform Fit Testing

Provides safe, competent and efficient nursing care for minor and acute injuries and illnesses via protocols and medical directives.

Evaluate and complete sick calls, following the appropriate necessary referrals, return to work approval protocols and employee education.

Performs blood/body fluid exposures, infection control/communicable diseases exposure treatment and follow up per protocol.

Reviews Employee Injury report for accuracy, consistency, and completeness, reviewing the incident with the employee and the employee¡¦s supervisor as needed.

Participate in investigation and follow-up on all work-related injuries/illnesses.

Monitor for trends and address, develop and implement strategies to prevent work-acquired injury or illness.

Coordinate care and follow up with the Occupational Medicine physician and expedite return to work.

Completes all COVID Team duties, including COVID test result notification, documentation, intake and return to work with proficiency in all Epic functionality (e.g., result pools, dashboard, encounter documentation)

  • A Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing is required- BSN

  • BLS provider (accredited by the American Heart Association) required prior to hire.

  • Illinois Board of Nursing license prior to hire

  • 5+ years of experience (preferred)
