The Mechanical Assembler will be a member of the Assembly team in our precision metal fabrication facility supporting the aerospace and defense industries. We are looking for someone with strong experience and knowledge working with hand-tools and assembly parts in a job shop environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Gather and assemble sheet metal components and/or machine components
Determine tooling and hardware components (rivets, clinch nuts, pem fasteners, retainers, Heli coil insert, etc...)
Review drawing/router and identify features that needed for assembly
Identify equipment needed for assembly processes such as:
Di-acro/Haeger press
Manual & air riveter
Manual, air & electric Heli-coil installer
Sealants & Adhesives
Setup and run the job order
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED required
[]{#P25672}[]{#P28796}[]{#P34_1253}2 3 years machine assembly experience in a manufacturing environment
Able to read and understand customer specifications, blue prints & bill of material
Able to set up & operate hand tools, manual & hydraulic presses and heli-coil
machines
Must be able to perform close tolerance work
Familiarity with inspection tools (i.e. calipers, height gage & thread gauge)
Ability to work with others
Some light physical effort required; frequent lifting up to 5#; infrequent up to 30#
50% of work duties are performed standing; 50% of work performed sitting
