Health First Medicare Sales Specialist - Medicare Sales in Melbourne, Florida

POSITIONSUMMARY Providesupportservicescriticaltotheeffectiveoperationsoftheinternal Medicare Sales Department and externalbroker partner channel within all Health First Health Plans’ territories. Interact with sales staff, brokers, and other internal departments in the effectuation of plan enrollments while ensuring compliance with all CMS guidelines.

PRIMARYACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Manage sales leads received through all channels, assign leads, and track results.
  2. Preparereportsona daily or weekly basis to inform leadership on department metrics.
  3. Overseeand processpaper enrollment applications received.
  4. Manage and update Sales’ collaterals as necessary throughout the year workingwithmarketingandcomplianceteams.
  5. Workwithteamandinternalpartnerstoensuredesktopproceduresare updated and current in all systems.
  6. Conduct member retention campaigns as required to meet department goals assigned by leadership.
  7. Work collaboratively in a team environment and across departments to support overall Health First Health Plans growth initiatives.
  8. Maintainproductive,professionalrelationshipswithsales representatives, brokers,peers, and other department representativesin support of deliverables.
  9. Identify and report any trends that may impact membership or sales and identify opportunities that may exist within Sales or other operational teams at HFHP. 10.Identify and assist in the development of process improvement initiatives. 11.AdministerMedicaresalesactivitiesofthehealthplanincludingcoordinatingsalesevents and seminars. 12.Represent HFHP in accordance with all CMS, regulatory and department guidelines based upon a thorough and on-going understanding of Medicare regulations.

MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS:

Education:HighSchooldiplomaorequivalent

Licensure:**

· FloridaHealthinsurancelicenserequiredorobtainedwithin90daysofhire.

· Valid Florida driver’s license and cleanstate of Floridamotorvehiclerecord and maintain. * *

Certification:AHIP certification is required or obtained within 90 days of hire.

WorkExperience:Two (2)years of experiencewith an insurance company, related industry, or customer service experience.

· Understandingofmanagedcare(HMO,PPO,andPOS) · UnderstandthecomplexitiesofanintegrateddeliveryNetwork(IDN) model health plan. · Excellentanalyticalandproblem-solvingskills.

· Stronginterpersonalrelationshipdevelopmentskills.

· WorkingknowledgeofMicrosoftapplications.

· Strongplanningandorganizationalskillsrequired.

· Ability to work collaboratively with departmental and health plan leadershipwhileprovidingdirectionalsupporttootherteammembers.

WorkExperience:Customer Service experience in health care insurance or related industry recommended.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

· Advanced knowledge and understanding of Federal Medicare program, HMOs, and the medical insurance industry related to enrollment issues.

· Advanced computer skills and proficiency in the use of Microsoft programs.

· Demonstrates excellent, professional oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

· Highly organized, motivated, responsible self-starter, with excellent time management, analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Demonstrates dependability, flexibility, and a high level of job interest.
