The Role at a glance:
We are looking to add an experienced, motivated Chef to our corporate dining team at Mitre! As a Chef, you will have the opportunity to supervise and participate in the preparation of meals for a high-volume, corporate dining account in McLean, VA. This is a Monday-Friday operation, no weekends, very few nights, weekly pay, growth opportunities & more!
What you'll be doing:
This role is very hands-on; 75% of time will be spent in the kitchen. About 25% of time will be ordering & menu development.
Planning, organizing, and supervising culinary operations of retail and catering services.
Planning menus based on various factors, such as market trends, customer preferences, and nutritional considerations.
Conferring with district managers or other departments regarding daily aspects of dining service.
Directing and coordinating the work of kitchen staff.
Other tasks as assigned.
What we're looking for:
Certification by a recognized culinary institution or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
High-volume, corporate dining experience.
At least three years’ experience in culinary management.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Compensation:
$65-70,000/year
