Insight Global DevOps Engineer in Maryland Heights, Missouri
Job Description
Insight Global is looking to add a DevOps Engineer to our client's team in St. Louis, Missouri area. This person will be joining the Ordering Integration Services team supporting the maintenance of our clients website platform. This team is currently working on a deployment to the cloud, migrating from their monolithic ordering system in VMWare to AWS by the end of the year. This individual will joining a team of 13 other engineers and will be responsible for helping driving the team members and requirement needs for stakeholders. They will be working in Java springboot to troubleshoot areas within their current Linux environment regarding server logs, and analysis of threads and heap dumps as well as debugging and optimizing code and automating routine tasks. They will be working within Oracle, MongoDB, and SQL databases. They will be utilizing DevOps tools such as Gitlab, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernettes, Ansible, Service Mesh, Helm chart, Istio, and Blue/Green. Observability tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, and Data Dog will be utilized to execute on requirement expectations. It will be expected for this candidate to collaborate with cross functional teams, present and communicate architecture to stakeholders in visual forms. Lastly, they will be expected to implement and improve monitoring and alerting throughout the environment. This role will be hybrid, 3 days on site and 2 remote.

Skills and Requirements
5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer
Experience using Java Spring Boot
Experience with AWS and deploying to the cloud
Experience with Splunk, AppDynamics, and Datadog
Database support experience within Oracle, MongoDB, and SQL
Experience with DevOps tools such as Gitlab, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernettes, and Ansible
Ability to drive requirements and lead team members null
