The New Madrid Power Plant has a full-time opening for a Yard Equipment Operator!
Here's what you can expect during a typical day as a yard equipment operator:
Perform safe and efficient operation of equipment necessary for handling, conditioning, conveying, storing coal, ash and/or slag, and equipment used to maintain the coal yard and plant grounds.
Maintain the coal handling and mobile equipment in a clean and orderly manner.
Perform periodic inspections, lubrication, cleaning, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance on all heavy mobile equipment, coal handling equipment, and systems.
Possess mechanical and/or electrical ability to recognize malfunction of equipment.
Here's what we are looking for:
High school diploma or GED, applicable pre-employment testing successfully completed.
Minimum 18 months experience operating heavy mobile equipment such as, but not limited to bulldozers, haul trucks, and scrapers.
Basic computer skills required.
Maintain a competent level of technical skills and knowledge in order to satisfactorily perform duties and responsibilities.
