Production Laborer\ Mars Hill, ME Full-Time/Nights Temp-to-Hire Opportunity\ \ Job description:\ \ Immediate need for Production Laborers to work for a well-established manufacturer in Mars Hill. Prior experience in a production facility helpful, but not required. FT/Nights; 6:00 PM 6:00 AM; \$17.00/hr. + \$2.00/hr. shift differential.\ \ The Production Laborer will set up, sanitize, and operate equipment used to produce finished and unfinished food products. Employees will load/unload, package, and sort goods for shipment and remove waste materials from the work area. Must have good verbal communication and be able to follow sanitation and safety standards as directed by the plant supervisor.\ \ Responsibilities:\
- Assemble, operate, and disassemble equipment used for production purposes.
- Load and unload raw materials and/or finished products.
- Perform routine control checks to ensure that equipment is functioning properly and that all quality/safety standards are being met.
- Remove and properly dispose of waste produced during the production process.
- Package finished goods and sort materials for storage and/or shipment.
- Keep work areas clean and orderly; follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines as directed.
- Adhere to all workplace safety policies and report incidents and/or potential hazards to management.
- Perform additional maintenance and cleaning duties as requested by site supervisor.
\ Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education required.
- Forklift and/or Pallet Jack certification preferred.
- Previous food processing experience helpful.
