Description

As a Platform Engineer of a team of individuals in a specific area of digital expertise, you will be a crucial player in driving our digital initiatives forward in our agile organization. Our agile operating model consists of two components – Digital Capability and Digital Execution. Digital Execution are about aligning multiple missions around business goals and facilitating collaboration on a larger scale. Digital Capability, on the other hand, focus on the growth and development of individuals within a specific expertise area. This dual structure enables us to scale agile practices efficiently while maintaining a focus on both product development and individual skill enhancement.

An Enterprise Business Platforms Engineer focuses on the development, deployment, and integration of software platforms that support our business processes and operations. This role involves a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and a deep understanding of the specific platforms that drive business functions such as CRM (Customer Relationship Management, Sales Force, VeeVa), ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning such as SAP), and SCM (Supply Chain Management) and Clinical, Patient Safety, Quality Management Solutions. The goal is to ensure these platforms are optimized to support business goals, enhance efficiency, and drive growth.

Essential Job Duties

  • Platform Development and Configuration: Design, develop, and configure business platforms to meet the specific needs of our organization. This could involve programming, configuring settings, and integrating various software solutions.

  • System Integration: Ensure seamless integration between different business platforms and systems (e.g., integrating CRM and ERP systems) to enhance data flow and business processes.

  • Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Regularly monitor the performance of business platforms, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to improve efficiency and user experience.

  • User Support and Training: Provide technical support to platform users, resolve issues, and conduct training sessions to ensure users can effectively utilize the platforms.

  • Initiative Execution: Actively participate in and contribute to various initiatives, applying your specialized skills to achieve the objectives and expected Value. Contribute to the ongoing realization of Value from these enterprise platforms through continuous integration and deployment.

  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members within the subdivision and across other digital and business units.

  • Continuous Learning: Engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in a specific area of expertise.

  • Innovation: Contribute innovative ideas and approaches to enhance project outcomes and digital capabilities.

  • Reporting: Regularly report on the progress of the various Value Teams and outcomes to your Capability Lead and team members.

  • Problem-Solving: Employ analytical and problem-solving skills to overcome project challenges and deliver effective solutions.

Qualifications

R equired

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, engineering or information systems, or STEM Degree

  • Developer is responsible for the gathering of SAP requirements and specifications, analyzing, designing, documenting, coding, testing, configuring, deploying, implementing, and maintaining systems and applications

  • Participate and collaborate with the users, business analyst, quality assurance/quality control analyst in the gathering of user requirements and specifications

  • Participate and conduct feasibility study, research and development, prototyping and proof of concept (PoC) in implementing new/existing systems, solutions and processes

  • Participate in the technical and project documentation such as but not limited to functional, system and technical design, requirements and specifications

  • Create test scenarios and data and conduct or participate in non-functional and functional testing (e.g., unit testing, system testing, integration testing, etc.)

  • Document, analyze and report test results

  • Develop and review codes, programs and configurations to verify consistency and conformance with established programming and industry standards, guidelines, policies and practices

  • Conduct incident and problem analysis, data gathering, investigation and resolution of issues, and provide technical consultancy, assistance and support

  • Deliver the required systems/applications/solutions on time and based on agreed budget and specifications

  • Identify, assess and recommend opportunities for application and process improvement

  • Provide regular and effective progress updates to the project manager/team lead/supervisor/immediate manage

  • Develop, customize, enhance, fix and maintain codes, applications and systems

  • Demonstrated ability to Analyze technical and business requirements and translate these into basic and detailed technical design

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, Strategic thinking and thought leadership capabilities; ability to institutionalize new tools, processes, and technologies

  • Knowledge of implementation project life cycles including blueprinting, configuration, testing, cut-over and go-live support

  • At least 2 SAP end-to-end implementation experience and at least 1 S/4HANA Implementation / upgrade experience

  • Ability to adapt to fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks at a time and self-motivated to learn advanced technologies

  • Ability to work in an Agile environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

  • Stay current with the latest SAP Integration Suite features and functionalities

  • You will remain up to date with the latest SAP BTP functionality and services and be able to provide thought leadership and further drive adoption of best practices

  • SAP CPI (PI/PO) Developer

  • 6+ years of hands-on SAP PI/PO development and integration experience

  • 3+ years of EDI translation experience with SAP integration

  • 3+ years of ALE/IDOC experience working with standard, extended, and custom iDocs

  • 3+ years of experience with SAP PI/PO Adapters for IDOC, File, SFTP, HTTP, SOAP, and Proxy

  • At least 4 years of experience in SAP BTP (API Management and Cloud Platform Integration) , CPI-DS , CIG integration platforms

  • 4+ years of experience with HTML/XML/WSDL/XSD/XSLT, JSON, BADI, BAPI

  • 2+ years of hands-on Java development and integration

  • 1+ year of experience with SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio 7.3 or higher

  • 1+ year of experience with Eclipse 4.7.3A or higher

  • Demonstrable functional knowledge of SAP modules MM, SD, FI, P2P

  • Experience with PI 7.50 or higher/ESR/ID/SLD/Adapter Engine

  • Experience with Web technologies (XML, XSLT, REST, HTTP, HTTPS, Web Services, AS2 and Certificate)

  • Proven ability to use secure methods such as SFTP / PGP / Encryption

  • Programming expertise in Java design, development, testing and scripting

  • Demonstrable competence with SAP Graphical Mapping, SAP NWA trace and log errors

  • In-depth knowledge and experience of SAP BTP, its capabilities, services, and architecture this includes services available in Cloud Foundry, API Management, Integration suite

  • Proven experience as an Integration Developer with a minimum of 3 to 5 years in designing, developing, and implementing integration solutions using SAP CPI-IS/CPI-DS/PI/PO platforms

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and critical thinking

  • Maintaining a sound SAP PI/PO and SAP CPI/BTP-IS production environment

  • Experience in Design, build, support, and monitor SAP PI interfaces; develop and maintain data mappings, JAVA mappings, XSLT mappings, EDI and XML communications, Proxies, interface definitions, and XSDs. Hands on experience to design /develop and test BTP IS/CPI/MFT/ PI/PO interfaces

  • Proven experience in configuring File, FTP, SFTP HTTP/HTTPs, PROXY, IDOC, SOAP, SQL adapters, ALE, B2B Add-on, JDBC, Proxy, FTPS,JMS,and IDOC with PI/PO, RFC,SOAP,REST,IDOC,SuccessFactor with SAP Cloud Platform/BTP Integration

  • Experience in EDI conversion of ANSI X12 and EDIFACT to EDI documents to the needed format using various translators within SAP PO/PI

  • Experience in SLD configuration for products /SWC / Business Systems

  • Strong knowledge and proven experience of SAP CPI Design Best practices, Error Handling Mechanism, SAP-PI/PO Architecture and Proficiency in programming languages such as Groovy, Python or Java

  • Experience in SAP CPI or SAP BTP-IS, SAP PI/PO implementation and PI/PO projects

  • Strong knowledge or experience with PI/PO Migration to SAP CPI/BTP-IS a PLUS

  • SAP Certification in CPI/BTP integration suite is a PLUS

  • Provide 24×7 application support in Severity 1 situations
