This role is positioned to drive the success of the "New Health Care Company".The Impact You'll Make in this RoleAs a Senior Quality Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:Driving existing product quality enhancement through use of continuous improvement methods and tools, such as: Six Sigma, Product and Process Understanding (PPU), Design of Experiments (DOE), Customer Quality Index (CQI) and Quality at the SourceSupporting and interacting with customers through complaint investigations, resolution, and trendingEnsuring the commercialized product design intent and product integrity is retained as materials, processes, methods, and specifications changeSupporting change as it relates to design changes inspired by quality improvement, source of supply changes, or cost reduction effortsSupporting New Product Introductions (NPI) through product and process validations, test method development, and risk managementYour Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering or Science discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution AND four (4) years of medical device Quality Engineering experience in a private, public, government, or military environmentORHigh School Diploma/GED from AND (8) years of medical device Quality Engineering experience in a private, public, government, or military environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:4 years of Quality Engineering experience in medical devices4 years of experience applying requirements of ISO 13485 and ISO 14971 in a Quality Engineering or regulatory roleExperience planning and executing Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) projects in a medical device environmentExperience analyzing data for trends, special causes, and identifying opportunities for improvementExperience with facilitating PFMECA or DFMECA developmentExperience creating and maintaining Risk Management files for medical devices xperience analyzing data for trends, special causes, and identifying opportunities for improvementExperience as a manufacturing or quality engineer in a medical device manufacturing facilityWork location: Hybrid Maplewood, MN or Irvine, CATravel: May include up to 10% domesticRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life - both physically and financially.
