The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Senior Product Steward, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Leads regulatory compliance, Life Cycle Management and sustainability requirements for existing and new products. Technical activities include interpreting regulations, performing assessments of safety to human health and the environment, addressing liability avoidance and supporting sustainable business decisions.
Monitors, analyzes and communicates the impact of chemicals of concern and upcoming regulations to the product development and business teams.
Supports the global technical and business teams in a large variety of regulated markets, including aerospace and automotive.
Builds collaborative relationships with corporate Subject Matter Experts (related to Environmental, Health, Safety, and Regulatory (EHS&R)), including serving on corporate teams.
Interacts with 3M global customers for their product EHS&R inquiries including regulated lists, local, state, federal and global regulations.
Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Science and/or Engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start)
Five (5) years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Product Stewardship, Regulatory Affairs, Risk Assessment, Life Cycle Assessment in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Completed three semesters or more post-secondary courses in chemistry.
Advanced degree in an applicable Science or Engineering discipline especially chemistry, biology, human health, toxicology, pharmacology, or environmental health from an accredited institution
Five or more years of experience working in regulatory, medical device, product responsibility or EHS&R.
Understanding of global regulations, including Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) and Global Automotive Declarable Substance List (GADSL).
Experience with EU REACH registrations and regulations.
Familiarity of sustainability and carbon footprint methodologies and calculations.
Experience with the Enovia Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software, including the Materials Compliance Management (MCM) and Life Cycle Management System (LCMS) modules.
Proficiency in 3M’s Chemical Data Management System (CDMS)
Direct experience working with dispersed/Global Teams and customers.
Work location:
Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Maplewood )
Travel: May include up to 5% domestic
Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $137,439 - $167,981, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
