Fairview Health Services Physician - Neurohospitalist in Maplewood, Minnesota
Practice Description
Fairview Health Services is seeking a Neurohospitalist. The Neurohospitalist will cover general neurology consultations for evaluation and management at St. John’s Hospital in Maplewood, MN and Woodwinds Hospital in Woodbury, MN. Consultations include a wide variety of conditions, including but not limited to seizure, headache, myasthenia gravis, and multiple sclerosis.
Job Expectations:
Available for bedside initial consults and follow-up. Primary admitting responsibilities will be managed by hospitalists and intensivists.
Manages patient care through appropriate use of available resources, including lab, imaging, and discharge planning.
Assures timely, relevant, and appropriate information is provided to referring physicians, hospital staff, patients, and families.
7 days on / 7 days off with no outpatient coverage.
Typical patient volume 10-12
Call shared with clinical neurology providers. An acute vascular neurology team from M Health Fairview is available 24/7 to provide emergent evaluations via telemedicine for suspected stroke patients.

Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited ACGME Neurology residency program
Board eligible/certified with the American Board of Medical Specialties
Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure
Ability to obtain/maintain DEA certification in the State of Minnesota
Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges
Neurohospitalist fellowship training is welcome but is not required.
