Here, you will make an impact by:Leading system hardware and software architecture decisions to create a scalable, optimized, reusable, and secure data streaming platform for use in medical devicesDefining and implementing industry-standard best practices to design, develop, code, test, and debug system hardware and softwareWorking in all stages of technology development - from early R&D through commercialization. Platform development, application development, and applied research are all in scopeCollaborating effectively within the Corporate Research Labs, across business groups and functions, and with external partners to create solutions that positively impact patient and clinician experiencesBuilding new technology that enables the company to grow efficiently and quickly with an intense focus on customer needsYour Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution AND Eight (8) years of embedded system design experienceORHigh School Diploma/GED from AND (12) years of embedded system design experienceAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Experience with standard protocols such as USB, I2C, UART, SPI, and wireless technologies (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, etc.)Experience and understanding of various firmware design and debugging toolsMastery of C programmingExcellent verbal and written communicationSelf-starter, well organized, willing to tackle new challengesAbility to influence across the organization on technical and strategic directionsExperience with real-time operating systemsExperience in networking and networking protocolsExperience with entire software development lifecycle: design, development, test, support, and maintenance.Experience mentoring and developing junior engineersWork location: Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Maplewood, MN at least 3 days per week)Travel: May include up to 10% domestic internationalRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-beingSolventum offers many programs to help you live your best life - both physically and financially.
