About the role: The WATCHMAN Upstream Product Manager will be tasked with leading New Product Development for the WATCHMAN Left Atrial Appendage Closure (LAAC) therapy. The manager will need to develop an understanding of the current and future market dynamics and the competitive landscape. The role involves gathering Key Opinion Leader (KOL) feedback, drafting Market Specifications, providing Business inputs, identifying clinical needs, and steering overall product development. The manager will work closely with a cross-functional team, including R&D, Project Management, Regulatory, Clinical, Global Marketing team, and others. The manager must manage multiple development projects simultaneously and operate independently with minimal supervision. Additionally, the manager will identify any significant gaps in the portfolio and recommend internal development pathways or external partnerships to address those gaps. The Upstream Product Manager will act as the representative of the broader development team during interactions with physicians at Advisory Boards, Innovation Center visits, animal labs, tradeshows, and other KOL meetings. The manager will identify and prioritize topics for physician feedback and use those meetings to gather essential feedback to inform the Franchise on development activities. The manager will be responsible for content creation, content delivery, and translating feedback into actionable plans. Your responsibilities will include: Developing marketing and strategy input to for WATCHMAN product cadence over next five+ years. Leading Access Solutions market research efforts, including the creation, execution, readout, and recommended next steps from key customer insights. This includes qualitative and quantitative studies; Attitude, trends, and usage reports; and synthesizing data. Creation and implementation of global product and clinical strategies designed to support LAAC market growth and WATCHMAN's competitive advantage within that market Identification of non-product strategies (e.g. clinical studies, digital solutions) to support product pipeline Defining and executing market research efforts to gather and synthesize both internal and external VOC Collaborating with marketing team and cross-functional team members to ensure future development plans will deliver overall revenue and profit objectives Building business case for future product portfolio and new market opportunities Creating collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including focus on KOLs, clinicians Anticipating competitive activities, monitor competitive pipelines, and be strategically respond to competitive initiatives via product iterations and/or marketing campaigns Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or healthcare-related field 3+ years of successful related business experience 2+ years prior Product Management experience, including strategic commercialization Willing to travel 20% - 30%, including domestic and international Preferred qualifications: Advanced degree, such as MBA Ability to engage and influence cross-functional colleagues Experience within the medical device industry KOL engagement experience Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and partner with internal/external stakeholders Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to mobilize key stakeholders and engage leadership Requisition ID:585344 As a leader in medical science for mor than 40 years, we are committed to solving the challenges that matter most - united by a deep caring for human life.
