Job Overview
Drive a fuel truck with capacity of more than 3 tons, to transport materials to and from specified destinations. The position will be expected to work some nights and weekends subject to project need.
Primary Responsibilities
Performs a variety of duties such as hauling hazardous materials.
Report all damaged and malfunctioning equipment to Supervisor.
Plans route to insure the most economical use of time and equipment.
Obtain fuel from CSM tank farm and haul to job sites.
Perform routine inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or repairs to supervisor; clean equipment.
Check equipment fluids as directed and as needed.
Communicate with Lowboy or Dispatcher on moving equipment.
Ability to refuel CSM equipment and vehicles.
Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
Grease trucks daily.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Required Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
High school diploma or GED equivalent
2 years relevant experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to do the job.
Valid CDL license with proper endorsements. DOT physical & health card.
Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving.
Thorough knowledge of DOT and Federal Regulations.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather conditions.
Ability to operate electronic fuel system with training.
Tanker and HazMat endorsements on license.
