Job Description

The opportunity

The role will drive the proposition strategy development to execution of Savings and Investment Category and lead the Savings and Investments Product Proposition Category Team in formulating product strategy and proposition to penetrate different customer segments via agency, bancassurance and digital channels, in order to support achievement of the Company’s strategic targets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop and manage the savings and investment product portfolio, including coming up with strategies, careful planning the process of developing and delivering projects, creating new products and funds, enhancing existing ones, and ensuring alignment with customer needs and market trends.

  • Drive product innovation to formulate segment-based customer-centric product and fund propositions in order to address customer needs & their pain points in different life stages

  • Closely monitor updates and changes in insurance market, including but not limited to industry trends, competitor movements, market opportunities and threats, specific client segment to identify the potential business opportunity, and adjust and improve product positioning accordingly

  • The role will be responsible for the ongoing management & development of the existing product and fund range and, where necessary, any rationalization

  • Propose fund and portfolio solutions to grow saving and investment business through partnering with MIMTC

  • Drive overall growth of Savings and Investment category by developing holistic year-long and multi-year sustaining plans including marketing campaigns, customer financial and investment education programs and the like

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product strategy, conduct market research, analyze customer feedback, and identify opportunities to optimize proposition offerings. Additionally, work closely with sales and marketing teams to develop compelling value propositions and effectively communicate the same to customers, as well as develop distribute and customer investment education programs to grow the category.

  • Work collaboratively with channels and bancassurance partners to drive channel specific product and fund propositions and develop different sales enablers including product offer, sales tools and segment stories that is applicable to different partners / different segments

  • Work with Product Implementation team to ensure product can be delivered as planned

  • Stay ahead of the competition by anticipating business and regulatory issues, by recommending tailored product, process, or service improvements and solutions to help the organization succeed

  • Creating department policies, setting resource requirements, establishing budgets, and developing a comprehensive business plan

  • Directly leads managers and professionals; coaches and develops team members to enhance their knowledge and core competencies.

  • Have oversight on fund development and fund review governance, working together with MIMTC.

What we are looking for

  • At least 15 years’ relevant life insurance experience, preferably in product development and management, fund development/ asset management, product marketing, category management

  • Experience in a strategy-oriented role, or product line/business line ownership role is a must

  • Possess in-depth understanding of insurance and investment products, clients’ needs, FNA, sales process and industry developments

  • Excellent knowledge of retail financial markets and wealth management products.

  • Excellent stakeholders management, facilitation and presentation skills

  • Strong drive and proven ability to manage multiple initiatives in parallel and make optimal use of resources

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
