AON Data Analyst in Makati City, Philippines

Data Analyst

As a Data Analyst based in Philippines, you will be part of the APAC Data & Analytics function. You will be primarily responsible for coordinating and delivering a range of critical business operation data tasks for the region. You will also be involved in delivering and maintaining reporting solutions to the region. You will undertake ad-hoc data analysis for business enquiries and projects, as well as troubleshoot and provide strategic advice supported by analytics when necessary.

The role will require stakeholder engagement, helping to deliver regular business operation data tasks as well as define data requirements, driving design and developing reporting solutions.

What the day will look like

  • Coordinate with business stakeholders and deliver regular business operation tasks.

  • Undertake data analysis and deliver reports for business users using Power BI, SSRS, Excel and SQL.

  • Elicit requirements from business and technical stakeholders and assisting the business in developing sophisticated business intelligence solutions to drive operational excellence.

  • Design, develop, and maintain PowerBI reports and dashboards.

  • Perform a range of data-related activities to support internal projects, including: data profiling, data quality assessment, source-to-target data mapping, diagnosis of data quality issues, provide advice and guidance regarding data cleansing, validation, data reconciliation and post transfer support.

  • Troubleshoot and investigate reporting issues. Escalate to other teams as required.

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

    This position will suit a someone with the following experience:

  • Degree qualified in Business, Information Technology, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science or related field.

  • 3+ years of experience developing, and maintaining data solutions, including enterprise-level reporting and high-quality visualisations.

  • Proficiency in creating complex reports, dashboards, paginated reports and visualizations in PowerBI. Understanding of data warehousing concepts and modelling.

  • Experience within an insurance broker or insurance industry highly desirable

  • Strong analytical skills with a systematic problem-solving approach

  • Have experience in validating the data and implementing quality checks

  • Extensive experience in enhancing data quality and process improvement

  • Ability to understand and address data implementation challenges

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Proven track record of working with complex business datasets and delivering actionable insights

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information effectively

  • Self-motivated learner keeping abreast of changes in the data and analytics landscape

  • Comfortable working independently
