Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

  1. Assumes responsibility for providing effective technical support for all users.

• Provides first-line support answering technical questions, analyzing user issues and needs, and providing resolutions to problems.

• Analyzes techniques and procedures to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications.

• Works with the team to design, develop, document, create, test or modify computer systems or programs, including prototypes, based on and related to user or system design specifications.

• Provides information to all users regarding system status, operability, proper equipment use, and printer functions.

• Maintains, upgrades, and repairs PCs and peripheral equipment for both all desktop systems.

• Loads and verifies software and checks for correct operations.

• Completes hardware and software licensing functions and assists with inventory management.

• Maintains tasks and assignments with SLA compliance in mind.

• Add, deletes, and updates user information.

• Reports urgent and critical System Down service requests to leadership.

• Performs other responsibilities as assigned.

  1. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining professional working relationships with internal clients, vendors, and outside contacts.

• Tracks and resolves problems promptly and effectively. Ensures optimal service.

• Ensures that deadlines and SLAs are met.

• Notifies all involved parties when tickets are opened and closed.

• Tracks and records resolutions of problems for future reference, training, and reporting.

• Cooperates in a team environment to promote strong customer assistance and learning.

• Works with different departments to assist in providing technical solutions as needed.

• Maintains accurate and up-to-date reports.

• Promotes goodwill and a positive image of the Company.

  1. Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.

• Facilitates desk moves, including moving of computer and other equipment.

• Performs miscellaneous projects as assigned.

• Addresses facilities related issues and identifies area for improvement.

• Updates technical skills as required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

Bachelor’s Degree

Training in computer hardware, software, and basic networking.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

Understanding of PC hardware.

Foundational networking knowledge.

Solid knowledge of MS Office Suite

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Two or more years of related software and hardware experience.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Able to work well independently.

Good problem-solving skills.

Solid oral and written communications abilities

Ability to assist and train others.

Ability to follow technical instructions, procedures, and policies.

TECHNOLOGICAL ABILITY:

Competent in the use of MS Word and Excel.

Candidate must be trained in office 365, Hardware support, Windows 10 & 11, active directory, cloud server, firewalls, printers, network lines

Be familiar with and have the ability to learn applications including other company applications and systems required by job content.
