Emerson Analytics Application Engineer in MAHARASHTRA, India

The Analytics Application Engineer will be involved in implementing predictive & prescriptive analytics-based solutions for performance management, asset management, reliability, optimization, machine learning and operations management to support Industrial software division of Systems & Solutions.

Industrial Software (ISW) Hub at Emerson’s Pune Centre of Excellence (COE) covers the full lifecycle of projects from pre-sales, proposals, engineering, implementation, post implementation support. There are 4 major work cells for Simulation (Dynamic & Operator training), Optimization (Advanced Process Control), Asset Performance management (APM), Dataworks along with Sales enablement & Project management.

The APM work cell utilises products from AspenTech’s Asset performance management (APM) Suite consisting of Mtell, ProMV, Unscrambler, Fidelis and Plantweb Optics Analytics (PWOA).

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Fostering positive communication & coordination with all internal & external stake holders – customer, vendors, clients, management for successful delivery of the APC project within project schedule & budget

  • Coordinating with Sales team for Plantweb Analytics / MTell proposals/demos.

  • Understanding overall objectives and define & develop solution

  • Preparing functional and detailed design specification documents.

  • Performing data analysis and modeling based on customers' historical data to transform raw data into predictive models and actionable knowledge.

  • Configuring and test Plantweb Analytics / MTell projects.

  • Training and imparting knowledge to customers as well as internal team members

  • Understanding the Plantweb Analytics/MTell technology and the internal working procedures and standards.

  • Participating in analytics projects including predictive & prescriptive analytics, performance management, asset management, reliability, optimization, and operations management.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Minimum 3 yearsof proven experience – operations / technical services (for Chemical branch) or maintenance / engineering (for other branches) in chemical / oil & gas or allied industry. You may also have relevant background in Automation, EPC and similar others industries.

  • Knowledge of Analytics based software - AspenTech's Asset performance management (APM) Suite consisting of Mtell, ProMV, Unscrambler, Fidelis, Plantweb Optics Analytics (PWOA), Uniformance Sentinel, SEEQ and / or others

  • Knowledge of PowerBI, visualization-based software

  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL, OPC/DCOM (desirable)

  • Knowledge of coding such as python and others (desirable)

  • Ability to lead change and alignment on new concepts and approaches through persistence, self-motivation, follow-through, and commitment.

  • Great teammate who builds and maintains positive team member relations.

  • Able to manage and schedule multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Possess strong analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • B.E / B.Tech – Chemical Engineering, B.E / B.Tech for other branches such as Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation with good plant maintenance background.

  • Knowledge of Analytics based software - AspenTech's Asset performance management (APM) Suite consisting of Mtell, ProMV, Unscrambler, Fidelis, Plantweb Optics Analytics (PWOA), Uniformance Sentinel, SEEQ and / or others

  • Knowledge of PowerBI, visualization-based software

  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL, OPC/DCOM (desirable)

  • Knowledge of coding such as python and others (desirable)
