American Family Insurance - Corporate Senior Accounting Analyst (Flex Home/Office) in Madison, Wisconsin

There are 2 positions available.

You will be responsible for continuous improvement efforts and projects as well as preparing statutory quarterly and annual reporting. You will report to a Senior Accounting Manager.

Position Compensation Range:

$76,000.00 - $125,000.00

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Prepare schedules, exhibits and footnotes for the quarterly and annual statutory statements.

  • Prepare ledger adjustments and reconciliations observing company policies and internal controls.

  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy of all financial statements through high-level financial analysis and coordination with transaction processing units.

  • Develop extensive knowledge of statutory accounting principles.

  • Identify and aid in process improvement department initiatives based on best practices.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.

  • Demonstrated experience in communicating financial information.

  • Demonstrated experience managing/leading projects.

  • Knowledge and understanding of, and demonstrated experience utilizing, concepts related to accounting and accounting systems.

  • Demonstrated experience with spreadsheets utilizing complex functions and formulas.

  • Knowledge and understanding of financial reporting, financial analysis, budget and forecasting techniques or internal controls.

Licenses:

  • Not Applicable.

Travel Requirements

  • Up to 5%.

Prefer candidates who have experience with financial reporting.

Location information:

In this flex office/home role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from one of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783 or Boston, MA 02110.
