JOB REQUIREMENTS: Village of Shorewood Hills DPW Crewmember Job Posting The Village of Shorewood Hills, Dane County Wisconsin (population 2376) is seeking applicants for the position of Public Works Crewmember. Shorewood Hills is a highly desirable community that is an inner ring suburb of Madison, Wisconsin\'s capital city. The Public Works Crewmember is a multi-faceted position with tasks involving street, water, wastewater, and stormwater maintenance and repairs, snow plowing, tree-cutting, brush and leaf pick up, and janitorial work, and involves the operation of small and large equipment. Requirements for this position include a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience directly related to the position, including water and wastewater operations, is strongly preferred but is not required. Experience with tool/machine maintenance and/or a mechanical background is strongly preferred. Applicants must have a valid Wisconsin CDL or have the ability to obtain one within twelve months of hire. This position requires the ability to maneuver in various strenuous environments and to operate in extreme weather conditions as well as the ability to lift heavy objects repetitively over an extended period of time. Evening, weekend, and holiday work is required. This position is considered an emergency response position and, as such, the employee is required to live within a 30-minute response time. This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position. The hourly rate for this position will be \$21.87-\$29.57 DOQ/DOE. The Village is offering a sign-on bonus of up to \$2,000, pending Village Board approval, for a highly qualified candidate with a current CDL.
