U W-MADISON DIV. CONTINUING STUDIES Broadcast Systems Engineer in MADISON, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: Wisconsin Public Radio (WPR) (www.wpr.org), within the division of Wisconsin Public Media (www.wpm.wisc.edu), is seeking full-time Broadcast Systems Engineers to join our talented and self-motivated team of radio engineering professionals that are responsible for all of the infrastructure and systems that enable WPR\'s content to reach listeners across Wisconsin and beyond. This position will be primarily focused on responding to and resolving staff issues with the systems, working with the team to maintain the systems, and performing proactive and reactive quality control, like reviewing automation logs for errors or writing documentation. This role will report to the Manager of Radio Engineering, and will work closely with a variety of groups throughout the organization. This position will require being on-site in Vilas Hall most of the time, however, there are opportunities for a hybrid remote work arrangement. The WPR Engineering team manages all of the infrastructure that supports the state-wide network, which includes physical servers, storage, networking, applications, and security. The infrastructure includes a combination of Windows and Linux platforms, Windows and Apple computers, audio software, custom applications, secure remote access services, virtual desktops, security systems, and endpoint management systems. The environment is fast paced and leverages multiple support delivery methods including face-to-face and remote troubleshooting.
