Job Title: Electrical Design EngineerJob Description
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our architecture and engineering firm. The successful candidate will support our electrical team in the design of industrial and manufacturing facilities. Daily responsibilities include managing industrial process design projects for facilities that process minerals, fertilizers, pulp and paper, petrochemicals, and more.
Hard Skills
8-10 years of Facility Design Experience
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, AutoCAD Electrical 3D, Revit, Plant 3D, and Mechanical 3D
Experience in designing building systems for industrial, manufacturing, oil plants, or warehouses
Soft Skills
Ability to work with big switch gear or motor controls centers
Familiarity with material handling systems such as conveyors, bucket elevators, grinders
Knowledge in manufacturing processes including molded plastics and extrusion
Expertise in pumping non-water substances and handling a variety of chemicals
Capability in control systems design and application engineering
Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Macon, Georgia and some days remote.
Work Environment
The role involves mostly design work, with our clients heavily engaged in material handling. The candidate will be instrumental in selecting and applying conveyor systems and other mechanical systems, and not necessarily designing the gear and belts.
