Unit Description
Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef 2 for Lowell General Hospital, located in Lowell, MA. You will provide food services for all retail, patient dining, and catering needs.

The successful candidate will:
supervise and effectively lead a team of frontline associates
maintain chef and manager schedules; provide shift coverage when needed
create and standardize new menus; manage inventory to keep up with demand
implement innovative and fresh ideas in retail, catering, catering, and patient services
be responsible for all ongoing and annual food and physical safety training for hourly associates
conduct audits and creates action plans based on audit findings
develop effective interpersonal relationships with clients and customers
Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who have:
a culinary background that showcases an ability to stay current with new and innovative culinary trends
at least (3) years food management experience
excellent leadership and communication skills
a strong production culinary background, ideally in a corporate, campus, catering and/or upscale restaurant environment
menu planning and inventory management experience
a solid understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines - Servsafe certified preferred, and working knowledge of HACCP

Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
