Nordson MEDICAL designs, engineers and manufactures complex devices and components with applications in wound healing, surgical and minimally invasive, fluid management, pulmonology and interventional and structural heart. Our pioneering Advanced Polymers team was the first to manufacture and supply medical balloons to the medical device industry. Nordson MEDICAL works with doctors, start-ups and large medical companies around the world at any point in the product lifecycle, from concept to launch and beyond.

The Account Manager is responsible for driving profitable revenue growth through the offering and support of our full product portfolio. The Account Manager focuses on responding to all customer requests in their territory, coordinating with all departments to satisfy the needs and requirements of the customer. An Account Manager can work with a customer to understand project requirements, identify our solution, and provide a proposal and support in an accurate and timely manner. A successful Account Manager demonstrates strong customer passion, meeting, and exceeding expectations, while providing a best-in-class experience to our customers.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Delivers profitable sales growth, meeting monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for revenue growth for assigned customer base or territory
  • Collaborates with customers to identify solutions that meet customer requirements, provides proposals, and follow up to customers in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Trusted partner to our customers; ability to articulate the differentiated value and support of Nordson's products and services.
  • Leads new product and solution campaigns for assigned customer base; pro-actively works to drive sales growth through commercial activities.
  • Expands product base to our customers, works to increase Nordson share by offering superior Nordson products and solutions.
  • Maintains and grows a strong opportunity pipeline for assigned customer base or territory through superior funnel management.
  • Proactively and frequently communicates with assigned accounts to frequently check on status and overall satisfaction to ensure Nordson products and services are delivering a positive experience to our customers.
  • Collaborates with internal Nordson support teams to ensure needs of customers are met focusing on superior responsiveness and communication.
  • Responsible for timely follow-up of sales leads generated by various marketing and sales programs, ensuring we are focused on our core customers and products and the mostt attractive growth opportunities.
  • Travels to customer sites as required.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or a related field is required.

  • Minimum 1-3 years of customer facing experience including but not limited to Sales/Inside Sales, Customer Service, or Field Service is preferred.

  • Proficiency in all MS Office applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.
  • Experience with an ERP platform strongly preferred IFS experience a plus.
  • Experience will funnel management software (Sales Force, CRM, etc.) is a plus.
  • Experience in the medical field is a plus.
