Job Description:

Days: Monday-Friday

Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm

Job Summary

The Aircraft Engineering Co-op is responsible for supporting engineers in resolution of aircraft maintenance and reliability items. This includes researching technical issues, drafting Engineering Orders, preparing CAD drawings, analyzing data, and contributing to engineering projects. Co-op must have an aptitude for hands-on projects and technical writing, the ability to communicate clearly, and work well with others in a team environment. Ideal candidate will be an engineering student interested in gaining one year of practical experience. This co-op program requires three alternating semesters in support of Aircraft Engineering.

Responsibilities:

  • Identifies the impact of a problem on multiple areas of the business; recommends improvements to existing processes or programs.

  • Identifies and implements process improvements working with analysts, users, and project sponsors.

Qualifications:

  • Graduated with a Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent in the last 24 months or currently enrolled in an Engineering or related program. Mechanical, Aeronautical, Aerospace or Electrical Engineering preferred.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills

  • Sufficient and effective knowledge in programming and algorithms - Preferred

Additional Skills and Abilities:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work within a group. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, goal and detail oriented, resourceful with an interest in problem solving, focused on customer service and a team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
