The Manager of the Appliance Park Occupational Health Clinic is responsible for overseeing clinic operations management across all of AP. Key responsibilities include managing staffing activities such as hiring, orientation, evaluation, disciplinary actions, and continuing education, while also resolving multidisciplinary conflicts. The manager ensures compliance with clinical operational policies and procedures and assists in planning and implementing Occupational Health programs, including worksite needs assessments, medical surveillance, post-offer physicals, and health promotion activities. Additionally, the role supports efforts to achieve financial and programmatic goals for medical operations. Proficiency in the use and maintenance of clinic equipment is essential, as is the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Collaboration with various stakeholders, including the Occupational Health Leadership Team, Plant Operations, and Environmental Health & Safety, is also a crucial aspect of the role.

How You'll Create Possibilities

Key Responsibilities:

    1. Manages Occupational Health clinic activities related to staffing, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives. Multidisciplinary conflict resolution.
    1. Implements and sustains compliance to clinical operational policies and procedures.
    1. Assists in the identification, planning, and implementation of Occupational Health programs, including worksite needs assessments, medical surveillance, post-offer physicals, and health promotion activities.
    1. Supports efforts to achieve financial and programmatic goals and objectives set for the medical operation.
    1. Knowledgeable of all clinic equipment and proficient in use and maintenance. Able to troubleshoot issues and find resolution.
    1. Collaborates with multiple stakeholders including Occupational Health Leadership Team, Plant Operations, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Human Resources (HR), Case Management, Workers’ Compensation teams, vendors, and other colleagues to further Occupational Health objectives, compliance, and standardization. Participates in safety, HR, and other plant meetings regarding medical, health and wellness, plant Occupational Healthcare costs, emergency response, accommodations, and other objectives.
    1. Partner to coordinate training and medical response drills for First Aid Responders.
    1. Provides triage and direct care, including treatment of occupational and non-occupational injuries & illnesses including appropriate referral, follow up and emergency care using established medical protocols while documenting in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
    1. Provides Occupational Health medical surveillance testing including pulmonary function testing, audiometric testing, vision screening, Mobile Equipment Operator physical and other testing as appropriate on employees identified by EHS and industrial hygiene monitoring.
    1. Maintains & safeguards confidentiality of employee health information and health records.
    1. Provides EAP referral assistance to employees as needed.
    1. Clinic Inventory Management.
    1. Provides health-related counseling for employees within the scope of nursing knowledge and practice.

What You'll Bring to Our Team

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license.

  • Associate Degree in Nursing or related field.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.

  • Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN) or similar credential is highly desirable.

  • Certification in Hearing Conservation (COHC), Spirometry, and/or UDS/BAT collection is highly desirable.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience in occupational health, public health, or a related field.

  • 2 years in a leadership role in healthcare.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of case management, workers’ compensation, ADA, and government (OSHA) regulations & additional education appropriate to the work setting.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Previous leadership training and/or Emotional Intelligence training is highly desirable.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Provide excellent customer service to all levels of the workforce

  • Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, AI, Electronic Medical Record) required

Working Conditions:

Primarily office-based.

May require occasional evening work conduct training sessions or respond to health emergencies.
